CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS
The following
testimonials have been collected from guest who have
experienced a step back 200 years with the West River
Teamsters
Lewis and Clark
Wagon Train.
Glenda Warman (Medicine Woman) and Peggy Clark,
Waynesville, Ohio July 2005
“The Lewis & Clark Wagon Train that the West River Teamsters
coordinated was a wonderful and memorable experience. We
both appreciated the organizational effort that this event
had to take. The attention to detail was great—Gloria even
procured a new toothbrush for a forgotten one! The
friendliness of the other guests, the quiet pride of the
teamsters and their families, the landowners who allowed us
to invade their space—all these people combined came
together to provide a trip back into history that will stay
in our own life’s history for a long time. Good food, good
cheer, and great people and the beauty of North Dakota—it
doesn’t get much better than that. Thank you all so much!”
Don and Joyce Kimpland- Tombstone, Arizona. July 2005
“We had a truly wonderful experience on our wagon train. The
crew know their horsed and there was a variety of teams and
wagons to try. We made life friends of some of the guests
and wagon crew. There was not a boring moment. The scenery
was spectacular and the evening entertainment was always
great!”
Gunder – Washington July 2005 (has attended every Lewis &
Clark Wagon Train)
“Only thing I can think of is – it’s a nice way to spend 4
days of a summer vacation.”
David B, - Gansezoort, New York
"we had a great time! All of our kids really enjoyed
it too, and its not easy to
please all of the ages we had along." (The kids 8, 11, and
15) "It was great
to be able to go riding with my kids and the rest of our
family under the big open
sky and prairie, and it's just the way it was back in the
1800's. I enjoyed the
great expanse of
North Dakota sky and liked being in country where there was
a building or a road insight. The food was great, we
all enjoyed the entertainment in
the evening, and the wagons were comfortable. The
whole trip was very well organized."
Elsie H and Grandson Louis - San Diego, California
"I think the very best part of the trip was the warmth,
honesty and hospitality of the
Teamsters and
guests. Everyone was friendly and helpful to a couple
of "city slickers"
I have fun memories of Gloria handing out suckers to
everyone, of admiring the beautiful
horses, of camp fires and entertainment, of Foxy singing and
playing guitar. I have asked to
a program on my
trip to a club that I belong to and I will be wearing my
coyote tail !!"
Gary and Elaine N. - St. Paul, Minnesota
"Thank you for a great trip along the Lewis and Clark Trail.
Your efforts to
accommodate every ones needs and your spiritual leadership
were greatly appreciated.
It is a trip Gary and I will always remember !"
Gary Vinney - Garden Grove, Califonria
"Sometimes, while I was riding my horse along the wagon
train, I'd watch the men
driving the teams and listen to the sound of the wagons.
150 years ago, the same kind
people crossed the plains. For me, it was truly a way
to touch the past. It was also an
opportunity to be with the people from my home state.
As some one who's been away
from North Dakota for most of the last 20 years, I know what
I feel when I am around
people from home. It's intangible, but never the less
real sense there's a warmth and
genuine
friendliness in them. They look you in the eye when
they speak and take your
measure by what
you do, not by what you say..... I met a lot of good people
on that trip."
